Airless Spray Painting

South Devon – Exeter – Torbay

We offer an airless paint spraying service to all our customers whether it be painting large or small buildings, single houses or commercial projects.

This offer is for customers who want a super quality finish and faster application than the conventional brush painting.

How does it work?

An airless sprayer works by pumping paint at a very high pressure, up to 3,000 psi, through a hose and out a tiny hole in the spray gun tip. This allows the spray guns to work under high pressure and make atomization of coating possible.

What equipment do you use?

We are a big fan of GRACO equipment, the world’s leading brand of airless sprayers. Currently, we are using GRACO GX21 and GRACO Ultra for most of us residential jobs and small and medium commercial projects. We are using Q- tech QP025 unit for bigger commercial projects, as it is more powerful.

We have a team of trained decorators who will prepare the site for spraying by sheeting up all doors, flooring, and windows before applying the paint by using the airless spray system. We will leave the site in perfect condition with all sheeting removed.

How does an airless sprayer simplify painting?

Firstly, if you want to speed up a job that requires several gallons of paint, you can apply it much faster as with a roller or brush. For commercial units, we are able to spray paint up to 10,000 square feet per day.

Secondly, if you want a glass-smooth finish on any surface, including woodwork or doors, the airless sprayer can lay the paint on flawlessly.

Being up to 10 times faster than the conventional brush and roller techniques, airless spraying can make light work of a large area to be painted in a fraction of the time.

What are the key benefits of airless spray painting?

It is up to 10 times faster than a brush or a roller so allows for a very fast application. It can be applied indoor and outdoor and can cover any surface with a super quality finish. In addition, the airless spray painting shortens the drying time as well as the discharge of solvents into the atmosphere.

The major advantages include:

  • Better penetration of the coating into crevices and pits
  • Even coating, which means fewer coats needed
  • A wet coating which guarantees excellent flow-out and adhesion

Is it cheaper than the conventional brush painting?

It depends what you are after. If it is a job completed quickly and to a high standard, the airless spray painting is the best solution for you. We offer it to customers with very tight deadlines and for jobs that need to be completed fast. It is also suitable for bigger areas.
